Home Shrine

Part of the ADF Dedicant's Program involves documenting ones altar, ones home shrine.  At this point in time, March 2005, this is how my shrine appears.

Three candles,

an icon of the Mother Goddess, a Chalice, a bamboo plant.

The Chalice represents the Well.

The bamboo plant represents the Tree.

The candles represent the Fire.

On the right side of the altar is a wooden skull that represents the ancestors.

The wooden cat represents the Nature Spirits.

The Goddess icon represents the Shining Ones.

That is where my altar is at this point in time.

It will develop as my relationship with Deity and

my knowledge and experience change.

But it is a beginning.

Time has passed. It is now June 2005.  Part of the Four Quarters Class involves developing ones

altar or home shrine.  In early June I upgraded the altar adding the Millennium Gaia as a focus

representation of Deity, of the Mother.  I have a couple pictures on the following pages.

I'm enjoying the candles a lot.  At night, the lights are off and the glow of the quartz candles

create just the right atmosphere to end the day in reflection and prayer. But stay tuned,

the altar will continue to change.
